Matt's relaxed, thoughtful, attentive way of being with people instantly won my Wife and I over at our first meeting. At our wedding, Matt was calm, focused and the perfect combination of funny, serious, playful and professional. Matt was a joy to have around throughout the entire wedding. His natural, "low-impact" way of blending in and moving amongst our friends and family seemed effortless. Matt captured many incredibly beautiful, natural moments of emotion and interaction.

Matt crafted an exceptionally beautiful wedding album for us, complete with many special touches representing his design background. He was very responsive to all of our requests/ changes. One thing that can really make or break your wedding memories is your photographer. It was really really important for us to find someone that fit all our expectations. After searching and meeting with several different photographers we came across New Perspective Photography. We met with Matt and new they were right for us. Seeing Matt's portfolio really wowed us. We just loved his shooting style as well as his exceptional editing. He made beautiful albums and his prices were wonderful. Matt and Carrie were punctual and prepared. They took beautiful pictures and seemed to not miss a beat. They seemed to be everywhere without being in the way at all. They were fun and really made you smile, I think they helped bring out everyone's true smiles.

I received my pictures and loved all of them. I especially like the fact that you get CD's and can print your own pictures. We were in awe when we received our wedding album. From a bride’s perspective, there are three things that are important when getting married: the dress, the groom, and the wedding photos.

My husband and I spent a lot of time looking for a photographer that would capture the romantic feel and emotions from our wedding. We found the perfect photographer in Matt Kurvin. He was extremely easy to work with and very responsive to all of our questions. On the day of the wedding, Matt and his assistant were right on time and ready to start shooting. It was absolutely wonderful having two photographers. They were able to capture the intimate close-up shots of my husband and myself, and at the same time they were able to capture candid shots of our guests. During the entire event both Matt and his assistant were very professional and in no way obtrusive.

When my husband and I saw the digital copies of our photos we were overjoyed at how beautiful they turned out. Matt and his assistant have a real talent in creating unique and extraordinary photos. Matt also put a lot of hard work into our photo album. He took some of our favorite pictures and made them even more amazing by adding color into black and white photos, and using his talents at photo editing to create an artistic look. Our final photo album is absolutely beautiful, and it is something that my husband and I will always treasure.

When I decided to have my wedding in Newport Beach, Ca I was so happy that my dream wedding was finally coming together. My only job besides picking from a list of options and picking out my dress, was to find the right photographer. I am not from the area and had no idea who to go with. I was also limited on how many times I could travel to Newport. I found Matt through a search and reviews and was so happy that we were able to do EVERYTHING over the phone. I mean EVERYTHING!!! I literally didn't meet Matt until the day of my wedding.

I was so pleased with everything he did and how everything turned out. They were amazing and honestly the easiest photographers I have ever dealt with. Their prices were amazing!! My hardest task was finding a photographer that offered everything I wanted within the prices I could afford and Matt was the one. If I could do it all again I would definitely pick Matt. If I am ever having an event in the coastal area Matt will be the first photographer I call!

Matt and Carrie were absolutely amazing. From the time we met them, we had such a positive feeling about their work. They are both hopeless romantics and captured each and every important part of our day just as we wanted to remember it. Matt's expertise was outstanding! He knew just when to sit back and take candid shots that captured the moment and had enough direction to know when to step-in for the formal shots that will long be remembered. We chose New Perspective Photography first and foremost because they were willing and eager to work with our budget and time frame, and they answered their email requests! We actually met Matt and Carrie for the first time at a coffee shop in Santa Cruz. They are they type of people who you like right away, and we left our meeting very excited to work with them. Five months later, Matt and Carrie arrived to photograph our wedding. They were on time, dressed accordingly, and ready to get in position and start snapping pictures. They did perfect work! They knew when to jump in to get a shot and when to hold back. While they shot, I noticed how well they worked as a team. Matt had his eye on the camera, and Carrie was quick to jump in when something wasn't quite right, changing poses, fixing hair, and reminding us to keep smiling! The results were fantastic! Even in varying weather conditions, our pictures turned out just as we'd hoped.

Their ability to get really interesting shots--from above, of details, and candid--are exceptional, and their photo-shopping abilities can turn good pictures into extraordinary treasures. We would recommend Matt and Carrie to anyone hoping to capture the essence of their wedding day.
